Why We Built This Site
Idaho records do not sit in one file. The Butte County Sheriff keeps local incident, arrest, booking, custody, and warrant information. Court clerks maintain filed charges, docket events, and outcomes. Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification holds the central fingerprint-supported history, while the Idaho Department of Correction and Idaho Central Sex Offender Registry serve different public purposes. We bring the verified access routes and office contacts together without claiming to hold the records.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how Idaho court, arrest, custody, and registry channels differ
- Official checks: name-based and fingerprint request steps through Idaho State Police BCI
- Agency contacts: the Butte County Sheriff, courthouse, and statewide custodians
- Record correction: Idaho's narrow expungement, sealing, and challenge routes
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no tie to Butte County, an Idaho court, a sheriff, or any state agency. Those limits mean:
- We do not retrieve official histories or run agency checks
- We cannot submit requests, sealing papers, or expungement materials
- Certified court papers and criminal histories must come from their custodians
- We offer no legal advice about a charge, warrant, or case
- Agency hours, fees, phone numbers, and procedures can change
Only the Butte County Sheriff, the court clerk, Idaho State Police BCI, or another originating custodian can issue an official record.
Search Partners
Outside providers power some search boxes. They control their own results, prices, and services. A paid signup may produce a referral fee that supports this resource, but we do not set the provider's terms or determine what its results contain.
